HOW TO STAY N' SIP

Below is a step by step explanation of how your wine tasting experience will unfold, from booking to delivery the next day.

  • DISCOVER: Our range of experiences then book your favourite online, via phone or email.
  • CONFIRMATION: Expect to receive an email with the time, date and guest numbers expected for your booking in your inbox.
  • TWO WEEKS PRIOR: We will contact you to confirm final guest numbers, any dietary requirements or non drinkers amongst your guests. Final payment if not already settled, will be invoiced at this time.
  • ON THE DAY: Your host will arrive between 30mins - 2 hours prior to your scheduled experience to prepare everything. The amount of time required is determined by the size of your group and ease of access. All you need to provide for set up is table space and a seat for each guest.
  • DURING THE EXPERIENCE: Your host will provide a fun, approachable and educational look at the Hunter Valley region, including our winemaking style and hero grape varieties while you relax and enjoy.
  • AT THE CONCLUSION OF YOUR EXPERIENCE: Your host will clear away all items, leaving you with a clean and tidy space. Your guests will also have the opportunity to purchase the wines you tasted during the experience. Wines purchased will be delivered to your accommodation the following day. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Which winery do you use to source the wine for all your experiences?

The beauty of Stay n' Sip is that we aren't attached to one single winery so the wines we bring along to our experiences are of the best quality and sourced by us from boutique local producers and often, from private cellars.

Based on discussions with you before the experience, we determine which wines we think are the best match for you.

What if some of my guests don't drink alcohol?

We believe in providing an inclusive and educational experience for everyone.

For non drinkers we offer a tasting of five non alcoholic shrub mocktails. Shrubs are fermented apple vinegar concentrate infused with herbs and fruits made to be topped with sparkling water and garnished to create a complex and sophisticated alcohol free option.

How far will you travel?

Our fee includes travel within Pokolbin but we will travel anywhere for a reasonable fee of $1/km to and from your location.

How many people is too many people?

We don't like limitations, we'll look after as many people as you've got.

Our staffing ratio is 1 Stay n' Sip host per 25 guests. For groups of over 80 people we will work with you to provide a bespoke experience sure to please your guests.

If I love the tasting, can I buy the wines we tried?

Yes, your Stay n' Sip host can facilitate purchase of the wines you have tasted and depending on your location and spend, deliver the order to you the following day at your accommodation, home or office.

What do I need to provide in order to host an experience at my house or accommodation?

You need to have table space and a seat for each guest, we bring everything else required for your tasting experience including glassware, spittoons and table decorations.

How much time do you need to set up?

Our hosts will always arrive well in advance of your booking. We allow time for unpacking all our items, setting the table and ensuring all details are seen to before your tasting begins. This can take anywhere between 30 minutes and 2 hours depending on the size of your group and the experience selected.

We will always provide an arrival time via email one week prior to your booking.
